Can I use aluminium leaf guards (the mesh caps that go in the downspout) in copper gutters?
I want to keep leaves from going down the downspouts, but heard that the aluminium will interact with the copper. Is that true?
yes – it’s called ‘dissimilar metal contact’ one of the two will accelerate the corrosion process, you’ll have to use something made of copper or plastic.

Yes it is true. Combining aluminum and copper will create a force field that traps both alpha and beta waves, from entering or leaving. The resulting Field will cause a negative force flow to interfere with all radio, television and cell phone communications. Studies have inferred that it also detracts from a woman’s ability to be satisfied. Don’t say you weren’t warned!
