Gutter Guards for Copper Gutters (Part 3)

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

GutterSupply.com illustrates 15 different types and styles of gutter protection systems. Pictures of the different types and styles are provided. Clicking on any product name or photo will give you information that is more detailed. Six of these products are available in copper.

If you favor a screen-type unit, there are three different products from which to choose. If you have half-round gutters, the Half-Round Hinged Gutter Screen is available to fit 5-inch or 6-inch gutters. The screens come in 3-foot sections. The individual sections are easily fastened to the gutter with stainless steel clips, resulting in low installation labor cost.

A gutter screen will prevent all except rather fine material from passing into the rain gutter. However, some small bits of material may get stuck in the screen openings. Occasional cleaning may still be required, but at very infrequent intervals.

Gutter Guards for Copper Gutters (Part 2)

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

To avoid these problems you probably need to clean out the rain gutters several times a year-unless you install a gutter protection system to keep all that debris out of your rain gutters in the first place.

There are many different kinds of gutter protection systems available today including gutter guards, gutter covers, gutter screens, and gutter filters. All of them are intended to let the water drain into the rain gutter while keeping the debris out. Adding gutter protection will eliminate the need for cleaning out the gutters up to four times a year and avoid the other kinds of damage that might occur.

In selecting a gutter protection system, most people will choose a product made of the same material as the rain gutters. The usual materials are galvanized steel, aluminum, and copper. Because the majority of home gutter systems are not made from copper, some of the gutter protection systems are not available in copper, but there is still a wide selection from which to choose.

How Our Contractors Filter Gutter Guards Work

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

The size of the pores on the Contractors Filter Gutter Guards are small enough to let only the smallest pieces of grit and dirt pass through and get washed out of the gutters. The larger items stay on top and the wind blows them out of the gutter. Because the Contractors Filter Gutter Guard fits so snugly into the gutter there is no chance of it blowing out or getting washed out by rain water. Unlike many other systems on the market we seal off the entire gutter so nothing but the smallest dirt particles gets through, other Gutter Cover systems allow debris to entire the gutter this is why you see bigger downspouts and debris traps on the downspouts of some other systems.

This is also perfect for cold weather areas because when the temperatures dip below freezing there is no water in your gutters to freeze and create a strain on the gutters. Have you ever noticed some Gutter Cover systems have large icicle formations hanging off of them, that is because once the front gap is frozen over there is nowhere the water can go but over the side forming large icicles. Some systems now offer an upsell and run a electric heat cable through the nose of the gutter system keeping it heated in the winter so ice will not form, how energy efficient is this? The Contractors Filter’s Foam Gutter Guard system has been developed and taken this into consideration and when it freezes there is next to nothing in the gutter’s filter to freeze. It has already been taken from the gutters and out into the downspout.

Contractors Filter Gutter Guards are the best Gutter Protection system for the contractors or homeowners to use and the easiliest to install Gutter Guard system on the market.

Contractors Filter Gutter Guards

Monday, June 1st, 2009

There are many Gutter Guard systems available to the public today. Depending upon the type you purchase they may not be the easiest to install. That is why you need to buy the Contractors Filter Gutter Guard system it is a do it yourself type that is so easy to install you will wonder why you had not done it sooner.

The Contractors Filter Gutter Guards available today are already precut to fit the size gutters you have on your home. The normal size is the 5 inch K style and they come in 4 foot sections which makes installation a snap. The section is just inserted into the gutter and slid under the straps. It fits quite securely and you cannot see it from the ground.

The Gutter Guard keeps debris from piling up in your gutters which can cause a whole host of problems. The leaves and pine needles that end up in your gutters can cause water to back up and enter your home at the foundation. This can cause the erosion of dirt around the foundation of your home and is also responsible for mold and mildew growing on inside walls.

With our Gutter Guard system these leaves and other debris cannot get into the gutter thus the risk of clogged gutters is eliminated. The foam works to keep the problem from developing by keeping the debris out in the first place. The water that goes into the Gutter Guards run out and down the downspout and does not collect as it does when your gutters are full of leaves. This is due to the Contractors Filter being non-absorbent.
